Keyframe is a modular furniture system. It consists of stainless steel connectors that hold together an oak structure. By clamping CDF panels into the structure, carcasses for drawers, cupboards or appliances are created.
To counteract poor quality, rapid innovation and short-lived trends, the production effort and complexity of the system is kept as low as possible. All connections are made by simple drilling and milling, so that production and assembly can be done by most woodworking shops worldwide. All parts can be replaced and repaired if necessary. The modularity of the furniture makes it easier to move with it or to rebuild and extend it. As all parts are designed to have value outside their original context, it is realistic to return the parts to the producers. This means that the parts can be reprocessed or reused in other contexts.
The product thus becomes a material depot for future products.
